Free Website for Historical Societies

E-Government.com offers a free website, including hosting, to any Historical Society.

There are only two conditions: The Society must be IRS approved 501(c)(3) as a non-profit organization and they must have, or be willing to register, a domain name. (If desirec, E-Government assists in the process at a cost of $20/year.)

The free website uses the Basic Module from the E-Government Content Management System (CMS). A CMS allows people with no technical skills the ability to manage the website including the addition, modification, and deletion of content and changing cosmetic properties. The free site can include up to 50 pages of content.

A typical Historical Society website is the Tuckerton Historical Society in NJ

Why Are We Doing This?

E-Government.com is committed to serving the municipal community. Historical Societies are a vital part of many communities and they are typically under-funded and over-worked. It’s simply our way of saying "thank you."
